The Great Jungle Journey! #FBCVBS2024
June 3-7, 2024
Every day, our kids are bombarded with questions: Did God really create everything? Why do bad things happen? Was Noah’s ark real? Why do I need to be saved? Can I trust the Bible?
livesAt #FBCVBS2024, your kids will explore the biblical answers to these questions as they set off on an epic adventure from Genesis to Revelation. Amid sloths, butterflies, river dolphins, and dart frogs, your children will sail along on a fun jungle cruise, stopping at seven ports of call. These ports are the 7 C’s of History: Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe, Confusion, Christ, Cross, and Consummation. Kids will discover how these events shape our world, and they will learn to reconnect the Bible to their everyday lives.
Prepare to swing into fun as we head out on The Great Jungle Journey!

FirstMEN – Fellowship Breakfast
FirstMEN meet on the first Saturday of each month for breakfast, fellowship, and a relevant devotional with discussion. All men are welcome! There is no mandatory fee for breakfast, though we do have a voluntary contribution box to help offset the cost. The official time to eat is 8AM, but several gather at 7AM to cook and have pre-breakfast fellowship as well!
This group also plans events and opportunities for both service and leisure. In April of 2023, several of us gathered for breakfast and then traveled to Tulsa for the Wanamaker Arms Show! We would love to include you in our events and fellowship as we seek to grow in our relationship with Christ and one-another as brothers and men of God! For more info, text 479. 662. 5579 and request to be added to our GroupMe text reminder list!
FBC’s Walk 4 The World & Lifeword Sunday
WEDNESDAY, October 19, we will have our annual Lifeword Walk 4 The World at Shaw Park (Ball Road W Downum Rd., Springdale, AR 72762) from 6-8PM. This represents a departure from previous years and enables us to come together as a church to include our youth and students from Wednesday evening.
Each year, churches of the BMA observe “Lifeword Sunday” – a special emphasis of prayer and giving for the ministry of Lifeword Media Ministries, one of our most effective missions efforts as an association – Lifeword reaches as many as to 2 billion people a day through radio, TV, the internet. Help them expand broadcasts to reach the remaining 5 billion with the Good News. #LifewordSunday #WeTellTheStory https://lifeword.org
Walk 4 The World has long been a major fundraising event with local churches, and local associations coming together and walking – for donations. Some get pledges per mile walked, while others simply commit to a flat amount. Regardless, if you would like to help with the fundraising, be sure to collect pledged funds in time to turn them in on Sunday, October 23!
We have lots of fun and fellowship – while bringing attention to this incredible ministry. While we all cannot be physical missionaries around the world, and to language groups, we may have never even heard of – Lifeword does through broadcast and digital media – and you can be a part of that!
Here is a video reminder of what Lifeword is all about…

Resurrection Sunday (Easter) Is Coming!
There are few realities more important. to the Christian faith than that of the Resurrection! Paul wrote to the church at Corinth:
For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised;and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins. (1 Corinthians 15:16-17)
Some argue that Scripture never commands Christians to celebrate “Easter”, yet can one deny that Jesus’ own followers rejoiced and celebrated His rising from the grave? It is the resurrection that made all the difference! And just as Paul penned in the verses above, without the resurrection, we are the most pitiful of people!
Join us Sunday, April 4 for our Easter Sunrise Service at 7AM, or for our Easter
choir production of One Day (arr. Russell Maulden) at 11:00AM.
MAKE DISCIPLES! #FBCBIBLECON2020
POSTPONED
First Baptist Church of Cave Springs is excited to announce our 2020 Bible Conference titled “Make Disciples“.
Of all the purposes Jesus gave for His church, the primary purpose left was to make disciples. Yet no other responsibility is as misunderstood, undervalued, or unfulfilled as this Great Commission to make disciples. Making disciples isn’t a program, a literature series, or simply attendance of church services. Discipleship is far more, expressed as the simple expression:
Time + Life + Bible = Discipleship
Or as we of FBCCS are learning, it is as Acts 2 portrays it – Life Together.
The conference will run from Sunday, March 29 – Wednesday, April 1, beginning each evening at 6:30PM. Each speaker was selected through extensive prayer with a goal of inviting those with a proven passion and track record of disciple-making. Each carries with him a unique set of experiences and insight that you will find encouraging, convicting, and possibly most important: equipping.
One thing for certain – we must step up our investment in one-another to genuinely Make Disciples. Mark your calendars and prepare to be engaged on this extremely urgent and often forgotten purpose for the church.
SPEAKERS:
Sunday, March 29 – Bro. Bruce Short, pastor of Maranatha Baptist Church in Newport Arkansas, a congregation that crosses demographics and ethnic lines to reflect a true cross section of the community. Their model truly fits the “…of all nations” found in the Great Commission. Bro. Bruce planted the church church, beginning as a home Bible study, in the early 1990’s, growing to organize as Maranatha Baptist Church, a thriving body of believers driven in large part by active and intentional discipling relationships.
Monday, March 30 – Bro. Jim Elliff is founder and president of Christian Communicators Worldwide (CCW). For nearly twenty years prior to the beginning of CCW, he served as teaching pastor or on the pastoral team of churches in Florida, Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma. In addition to his writing and travel, Jim began Christ Fellowship of Kansas City in 2003. This unique church is made up of home congregations in the Kansas City metro area, and has grown significantly through intentional and powerful hands-on discipleship.
Tuesday, March 31 – Bro. Wade Allen is the lead pastor of Temple Baptist Church in Rogers, Arkansas where he began serving in 2014. Prior to his service at Temple, Bro. Wade served 12 years as a missionary/church planter with Baptist Missionary Association of America, primarily serving in the Philippines.
Wednesday, April 1 – Bro. Micah Powell. Bro. Micah has served in the capacity of worship leader, youth pastor, pastor of adults, as well as camp evangelist, youth rally speaker, and has passionately pursued discipleship as his core ministry drive. Micah believes that every generation within the church has a responsibility to each other under God to engage one-another, to walk along side one another, and to personally invest in one another in such a way as to build one another up in their Christian walk – in short, to disciple one another. “Discipleship is costly and can get ugly – but it is so worth it.”
An Evening of Song and The Word with Wade Lentz
First Baptist Church is pleased to present an Evening of Song and The Word with the bass voice of preacher, pastor, and talented singer Wade Lentz.
By the time he was twenty years old, Wade was ready to hit the road singing in a gospel quartet. In 1997, after a short stint with a local quartet, Wade received a call from Tim Shelby who was the lead singer and manager of Masterpeace Quartet out of Laurel, Ms. Wade absolutely loved his time on the road traveling in a bus and singing, but Wade felt the Lord leading him into the gospel
ministry as a pastor.
Wade has been blessed to pastor four different churches over the past 20 years. For the past six years, Wade has been the pastor of the church where he grew up, Beryl Baptist Church in Vilonia, Ar. As much as he loves being a pastor, Wade has never lost his love for music and singing. In the year 2000, Wade formed a part-time group called Canaanland, which consisted of his wife, Amanda; his brother, Lee; along with Ronnie LaCaze and Curt Crook.
Wade says, “For nearly sixteen years, I had the honor of stepping on stage with my family and singing the music I love with the people I love.”
Currently, Wade has recently joined Johnny Parrack and his quartet, “Triumphant”, as their bass singer.
Wade has also just completed his first solo project entitled, Send the Light. It was produced and arranged by the award-winning tenor singer, Chris Allman, of Greater Vision. The songs on this solo project include some of Wade’s favorite songs that will no doubt be a blessing to all who listen to them, and in this evening of Song and The Word, Wade will be sharing not only his heart for Christ through music, he will share with us a bit of testimony where each falls into His walk with the Lord.
This will be a Sunday evening to remember for the whole family! Come enjoy An Evening of Song and The Word with Wade Lentz.
There will be NO admission charged! Those desiring to give a love offering, or purchase a copy of Wade’s CD Send The Light can do so the night of the concert. We hope to see you there!
