We are pleased to finally be able to announce a restart to our Spring Bible Conferences with a special opportunity to grow in our study and understanding of God's Word. In conjunction with Christian
Steve Burchett, CCW Worldwide
Communicators Worldwide, we will be hosting a Bible Intensive with Steve Burchett and his wife Patty for Friday evening and Saturday as we engage in what, for many, will be a somewhat different method for studying and engaging with God's Word! All materials will be provided, leave your study Bible at home, and come learn to draw the meaning of the Bible directly from the pages in their context!
Come discover that you CAN study and UNDERSTAND the Bible. Gain skills to help you be far more confident in your studies, and maybe even uncover that hidden scholar just waiting to be unearthed! At the end of our time on Saturday, you will know more about a chapter of God's Word than many pastors! But more importantly, you will be blessed as only the intentional study of the Bible can bring.
The schedule for the March 4 & 5:
Friday: 6-9PM (Supper included). Saturday: 9AM-1:30PM (Breakfast available at 8:30AM and Lunch Included). There is no cost to attend, although you may contribute to offset the costs by clicking HERE and designate it for Conference costs, or contribute at the event.
First Baptist Church of Cave Springs is excited to announce our 2020 Bible Conference titled “Make Disciples“.
Of all the purposes Jesus gave for His church, the primary purpose left was to make disciples. Yet no other responsibility is as misunderstood, undervalued, or unfulfilled as this Great Commission to make disciples. Making disciples isn’t a program, a literature series, or simply attendance of church services. Discipleship is far more, expressed as the simple expression:
Time + Life + Bible = Discipleship
Or as we of FBCCS are learning, it is as Acts 2 portrays it – Life Together.
The conference will run from Sunday, March 29 – Wednesday, April 1, beginning each evening at 6:30PM. Each speaker was selected through extensive prayer with a goal of inviting those with a proven passion and track record of disciple-making. Each carries with him a unique set of experiences and insight that you will find encouraging, convicting, and possibly most important: equipping.
One thing for certain – we must step up our investment in one-another to genuinely Make Disciples. Mark your calendars and prepare to be engaged on this extremely urgent and often forgotten purpose for the church.
Sunday, March 29 – Bro. Bruce Short, pastor of Maranatha Baptist Church in Newport Arkansas, a congregation that crosses demographics and ethnic lines to reflect a true cross section of the community. Their model truly fits the “…of all nations” found in the Great Commission. Bro. Bruce planted the church church, beginning as a home Bible study, in the early 1990’s, growing to organize as Maranatha Baptist Church, a thriving body of believers driven in large part by active and intentional discipling relationships.
Monday, March 30 – Bro. Jim Elliff is founder and president of Christian Communicators Worldwide (CCW). For nearly twenty years prior to the beginning of CCW, he served as teaching pastor or on the pastoral team of churches in Florida, Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma. In addition to his writing and travel, Jim began Christ Fellowship of Kansas City in 2003. This unique church is made up of home congregations in the Kansas City metro area, and has grown significantly through intentional and powerful hands-on discipleship.
Tuesday, March 31 – Bro. Wade Allen is the lead pastor of Temple Baptist Church in Rogers, Arkansas where he began serving in 2014. Prior to his service at Temple, Bro. Wade served 12 years as a missionary/church planter with Baptist Missionary Association of America, primarily serving in the Philippines.
Wednesday, April 1 – Bro. Micah Powell. Bro. Micah has served in the capacity of worship leader, youth pastor, pastor of adults, as well as camp evangelist, youth rally speaker, and has passionately pursued discipleship as his core ministry drive. Micah believes that every generation within the church has a responsibility to each other under God to engage one-another, to walk along side one another, and to personally invest in one another in such a way as to build one another up in their Christian walk – in short, to disciple one another. “Discipleship is costly and can get ugly – but it is so worth it.”
First Baptist Church of Cave Springs is excited to present our 2nd Annual Bible Conference #BIBLECON2019:
What IS The GOSPEL?If we don’t get the gospel right, nothing else matters.
In a world that is in need of the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ – there is troubling diversity of views and variations of the so-called “gospel”. Only one gospel saves – and it is not a sugar-coated pill or a message of financial prosperity. The gospel that redeems lost souls is not a promise of some kind of social justice or deliverance from worldly oppression.
No, the true gospel of Jesus Christ is a gospel that truly changes people from the inside-out, that transforms lost sinners into regenerated children of God. It is a gospel that is sweeter than honey to those who believe, yet foolishness to those who are perishing (1 Corinthians 1:18).
So – how do we know which gospel is the true gospel, and which is accursed? That is what this year’s conference is all about – answering the question: What IS the Gospel?
Each evening, beginning at 6:30PM, we will hear from a the Word of God through a man who is driven by the Word and a passion to see the truth proclaimed. Come to be encouraged, strengthened, and to grow in your faith as you are equipped to discern the gospel that was first preached from all the rest.
SUNDAY, March 31 – Pastor Wade Lentz, Beryl Baptist, Vilonia, AR
MONDAY, April 1 – Pastor Gene Tanner, Fairfield Bay Baptist Church
TUESDAY, April 2 – Evangelist Clint Vernon, Clinton, AR
WEDNESDAY, April 3 – Dr. Charley Holmes, President – Baptist Missionary Association Theological Seminary, Jacksonville, TX.
We here of First Baptist Church are excited to announce our first Bible Conference –
The conference was envisioned as a means to help both church members and non-members to approach the race we have before us with Grace and power. Our desire is to equip believers for the ongoing race of life, but also to help those who feel they have no hope at all to see that they too have an avenue – a lane in this race – and Who can help them through, while drawing form Hebrews 12 as our conference cornerstone, each speaker will bring to the conference a message of hope, of grace, and the Joy found only in running the race before us with Jesus as our Savior.
SUNDAY, April 8– Harold Smith: “Examples From The Cloud” – Mirroring our Race after those who came before. (Hebrews 11-12).
Our first guest speaker is Bro. Harrold Smith, pastor of Lee Creek Baptist Church in Van Buren, Arkansas. Bro. Smith, who is also an avid outdoorsman, brings to the conference a passion for God and His Sovereign Grace, a love for God’s people, and a faithful history of bringing Bible teaching faithfully and with passion. Bro Harold and his home church host the Preachers of Grace Conference each year for pastors, preachers and laymen from a wide area.
MONDAY, April 9- Anthony Crocker: “Running the Race for the Joy That Is Set Before Us” (Hebrews 12:1-11)
Anthony (Tony) Crocker currently serves as the pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church in Greenbrier, Arkansas. Originally hailing from Potosi, Missouri, Tony has earned a reputation as a serious man of God who loves the Word of God and willingly serves the LORD with his all. Bro. Crocker is a graduate of Central Baptist College and received the MDiv from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, and has also served as a BMAA missionary to the nation of Mongolia. You will find Bro. Tony’s preaching to be firm, clear, and worthy of your time!
TUESDAY, April 10- Scott Atteberry: “Between Two Mountains” (Hebrews 12:18-29)
WEDNESDAY, April 11- Allen Nelson: “You Can Finish, Because It is Finished!”
Bro. Allen Nelson, known to friends as Cuatro, is a native of Perry County, Arkansas who was able to “come home about two years ago to serve the Lord with Perryville Second Baptist Church where he has served for almost two years. Bro. Nelson is passionate about teaching the Word in a way that makes a real difference to whatever audience he has the opportunity to speak to. His focus often turns back to the absolute Holiness of God and how that provides so much to our understanding of our Creator and how humbling it is to be called to walk (or run!) with Christ daily. Allen is currently in the final stages of seeing the publication of his first book, From Death To Life. Bro. Nelson is husband to Stephanie Nelson, and father of 5 incredible kids!
