What We Believe

I. God, the one living, true, and Sovereign God who created the universe, and is revealed in the unity of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, equal in divine perfection.

II. The Bible is the wholly inspired, inerrant revelation of God, complete in the Old and New Testaments and is the sole measure of faith and practice.

III. We believe that God created all things for His own pleasure and glory, including mankind, the only part of creation made int eh image of God.

IV. We believe Satan is a real being/person, who along with his demons, oppose all that is true and godly, who is the great tempter, and who makes war against the Son of God.

V. We believe that, while all mankind were created in the image of God, mankind has fallen and bears a marred image. In our natural state, we are described by the Bible as dead in our sin and trespasses, and that this sin separates us from God. In our spiritually dead state, we are completely unable to save ourselves and are rightly labeled as “totally depraved” and in need of salvation.

VI. Salvation is the sovereign work of grace by God whereby He delivers undeserving sinners from sin and it’s horrible cost through regeneration, repentance, and the gift of faith, which brings eternal life. In salvation, God justifies us, declaring us righteous, giving us freedom from condemnation, peace with God, and an absolute assurance of future glorification.

VII. All believers are set apart to God at the time of their regeneration and should grow in grace as the Holy Spirit applies the Word of God to their lives, molding them in divine righteousness.

VIII. We believe that the Church is made up of all born-again believers who are joined together within the context local body, who agree together in faith and obedience to Christ’s commands. We also believe each local church is an autonomous body with Jesus Christ as her only Head, lead by her pastor(s).
– Jesus gave the local church two ordinances – Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism is the means by which believers make a profession of their joining together with Christ, through immersion in water.

– The Lord’s Supper is the sharing of the bread of communion and the cup of blessing by the local assembled church, done as a commemoration of Jesus’ great sacrifice.

IX. We believe that marriage was ordained by God as a lifetime covenant between one man and one woman.
